This site
batoor.com is the personal website of Barat Ali Batoor, a photographer and filmmaker in Melbourne, Australia. This notice says what the site collects and what happens to it.
Forms
The site has two forms: a contact form and a newsletter form. They collect what you type into them: your name, your email address, your organisation if you give one, what your message is about, and the message itself. The newsletter form also asks which topics you want to hear about and in which language.
Each submission is sent by email to the site owner, delivered by Resend, an email service based in the United States. Nothing you enter is stored in a database on this site. The email stays in the owner’s mailbox for as long as it is needed to reply to you or to send what you asked for.
Newsletter
You join the newsletter by entering your email address and pressing Subscribe. That is your consent to receive it. It goes out no more than twice a month. Every issue carries an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you. Your address is never sold, shared or added to any other list.
Analytics
The site is hosted by Vercel, which also counts page views through Vercel Analytics. It sets no cookies and records no personal identifiers: no names, no email addresses, no cross-site tracking. The owner sees aggregate figures, such as how many people visited a page, and nothing about you as an individual.
Photographs
Every photograph on this site is copyright Barat Ali Batoor unless a credit says otherwise. None may be copied, published or used in any form without permission. Licensing requests go through the contact page.
Australian law
Personal information collected through this site is handled in keeping with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and you may ask at any time what the owner holds about you and have it corrected or deleted.
Contact
Questions about privacy, or a request to see or delete what you have sent, go through the contact page. Choose Something else as the subject.
